"God is pursuing with omnipotent passion a worldwide purpose of gathering joyful worshipers for Himself from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. He has an inexhaustible enthusiasm for the supremacy of His name among the nations. Therefore, let us bring our affections into line with His, and, for the sake of His name, let us renounce the quest for worldly comforts and join His global purpose."
— John Piper

The Shepherd’s Staff Ministries, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt, non-profit organization providing food, clothing, housing and financial assistance to qualified families in the 30052 zip code. Our outreach services open the door for meaningful conversations about Jesus Christ, the way to salvation and on-going discipleship. Our local churches are a critical part of helping continue discipleship outside of Shepherd's Staff.
Rivers of Mercy is a church in the heart of downtown Monroe, Ga led by Pastor Don Clark. This Church is faithfully serving the Lord and transforming their community. A major part of this is our Friday night Bible Drills and Dinner hosted by various churches and organizations in the area.
Our youth have been actively involved in going to Downtown Atlanta, in an area riddled with drugs and crime, to impact the lives of children. It has been an amazing experience to build a relationship with these kids and show them the love of Christ. We have even started bringing them on Sundays to visit our church and they have become a part of our Body. If you would like to help drive the van to pick them up, please let our Youth Pastor know.
Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational, evangelical, Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet the needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ. The organization serves the church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Tim Cash, our lead pastor, was in sports ministry for 20 years before coming to the church, working with players, coaches, scouts, etc. throughout the major leagues and he was the chaplain for the Atlanta Braves. When he came to the church, this passion didn't go away. His heart for reaching out to those in the professional athletics field is why he is still involved in this arena as a Character Development Advisor for the Kansas City Royals organization. He gets to continue to share Christ and disciple those within the world of baseball.
The Nites are soon to be missionaries in Slovenia, being sent out by Mosaic Church through Send International. Sherry is the daughter of Steve Traylor, our administrative pastor. They will be in Slovenia working to plant and develop churches in an area that is considered less fortunate. They will be working with those in their community, discipling and showing the love of Christ.
Mike and Terrill are missionaries who work with Youth With A Mission and have led our youth on trips to places such as New York and Mexico. They began work in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico 21 years ago and have distributed thousands of tracts and hundreds of bibles since then. They developed a partnership with a local church there and over the years have built many churches and helped plant four others. They are in the process of building a children’s home that will be used as a school, library, after school tutoring and drop in center to assist the single parent with the education and care of their children. Michael also travels around the world teaching at mission centers, discipleship schools and churches on the subjects of the Holy Spirit, evangelism and hearing the voice of God. Michael and Terrill have been married 30 years and have two children who also serve the Lord.
Richie and Holly are a missionary couple we support who are serving in the Dominican Republic. They have been developing a church in their city and are currently training those who have been raised up locally to take over as they are in the process of transitioning into sports ministry. Richie has already started as a baseball chaplain for the Aguilas and is looking to start a chaplaincy program for soccer and basketball. Their heart is to have a strong ministry to those in the sports arena. Richie and Hollie have 2 children.
We love sports and we love being able to use sports as a way to reach out into the community. Each year we have various camps in the summer, such as Archery and Basketball. We have coaches go over basics as well as develop character.
